    Description

    "3.A.D. RAF Independent Force" reconnaissance or pre-bombing photo, likely taken over Germany from France where the No 3 Aircraft Depot was based in WWI. The RAF Independent Force was the strategic bombing group that worked on the French sector of the Western Front, within striking range of German industry in the Ruhr Valley. The exact location is unmarked but could be researched. There are many groups of parallel lines, not sure if these are trenches or plants or industrial machinery?
    The photo is 8"x6" and in good condition with light soil and edge folds. See also my other military ephemeral items.
