For the VW Beetle, 1960 was the beginning of a lot of changes. It was the last year of a lot of things (the 36hp engine, the humpback fuel tank, the cloth-interior option for the US, the tunnel-case transmissionetc), the only year for even more things (the front transmission mount, the door handles, the door and ignition key code, etc), and the beginning of a many changes that stuck around for years after - one of these being a change to the front fenders and headlight buckets as they no longer ran the metal tubes for the headlight wiring but instead a rubber wire conduit. These early rubber tubes were only used through the 64 model year before more body changes dictated a modification to them. A lot of vendors will try to sell you the later style tubes and say you have to modify them to work but these are the correct early style tubes that are the right shape and length so they not only look right but they fit right!
Sold in pairs - enough for one Beetle.
