    Vintage B & W 5" x 4" Photo Soldier Holding Gun at Another Soldier from The Korean Conflict Era
    Photo's were taken by Photographer James Steer.
    You may not immediately recognize the name James Wilson Steer Jr, Mr. Steer was the brother of famed Cape May Artist Alice Steer Wilson, known for her beautiful paintings of Cape May's Victorian Homes and key in Cape May's renaissance. Jim was an Army photographer during the Korean Conflict and after, became a commercial photographer.
    James Wilson Steer, Jr., was a very kind and introverted man. In 1951 he became an army photographer during the "forgotten war" -- the Korean conflict. Stationed in Japan, he honed his art as a photographer.
