  • Condition: The New York Shipbuilding Company builder's plate for the 4 stacker destroyer SS DeLong, DD-129, launched October 29 1918, a Wickes Class destroyer. The DeLong went aground in heavy fog on December 1 1921. She was decommissioned on March 18 1922. The plate measures 10 1/2 x 10 1/2" and weighs about 5 lbs.

    THE NEW YORK SHIPBUILDING COMPANY BUILDER'S PLATE FOR THE 4 STACKER DESTROYER USS DeLONG, DD-129, LAUNCHED OCTOBER 29, 1918, A WICKES CLASS DESTROYER. THE DeLONG WENT AGROUND IN HEAVY FOG ON DECEMBER 1, 1921. SHE WAS DECOMMISSIONED ON MARCH 18, 1922. THE PLATE MEASURES 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" AND WEIGHS ABOUT 5 LBS.
