The New York Shipbuilding Company builder's plate for the 4 stacker destroyer SS DeLong, DD-129, launched October 29 1918, a Wickes Class destroyer. The DeLong went aground in heavy fog on December 1 1921. She was decommissioned on March 18 1922. The plate measures 10 1/2 x 10 1/2" and weighs about 5 lbs.
