The external heel counter provided some stability for runners who found the Echelon too wide, praising its support on their runs as well as the comfort they found wearing the trainer. “The robust external heel support frame delivers a lockdown fit, The stable base in the heel allowed for me to fix my heel strike habit, and the wide toe box provided comfort in the forefoot.
Overall, I rate this shoe as great. This is my first time running in Sauconys, and it was a great experience. I didn't expect the roomy toe box, or the stable cushioning, that made the ride super comfortable. I ran in this shoe on various terrain including the road, rail trail, hills, and on the treadmill. I enjoyed each run, and the more I ran in them the more comfortable they became.

Comfort and durability
I don’t run for fun or exercise but I’m a nurse working a covid unit. I have to wash my shoes like my scrubs each night. I wear Saucony because I have flat feet and the support is great. The shoes hold up well with cold washing and air drying- especially since I rotate them out. If I didn’t have Saucony available I’d have to quit working. My feet and legs are fine after 12-hour shifts-although I admit I get men’s sizes for my wider feet due to availability. I love my shoes!
