All KGC EDGE Blocks INCLUDE our proprietary mirror-polished spring retainer cover for secure spring attachment and polished and beautifully finished look
All blocks are machined to be exactly flat and square before drilling, etc - this ensures a perfect, flat surface for mounting and the best, most contact and vibration transfer possible
Each block's mounting holes drilled and tapped extra-deep and include 5/8" long stainless steel mounting screws (one of the other guys charges just for short stainless mounting screws alone) - super secure mounting for best stability and security
KGC offers the best design which has been tested and proven to maximize function, performance and sound. These are not just copies of your original made from a different material like the others. We have tweaked the design so you get the most from your axe.
The KGC 5/8" block is designed to fit any standard Original EDGE cavity. There is no concern with any issue as far as fit or function - it
will not
impede your range or interfere with use of the tremolo/vibrato on your EDGE setup. This block incorporates KGC's proprietary design that places the block's mounting holes in an offset position, thus leaving all the "meat" of the block on the side of the cavity opposite the springs - where there is lots more space. This allows for plenty of space on both sides of the block to allow for full range on your tremolo - with the most mass you can possibly get of any block on the market that still allows you to actually use the whammy for divebombing all the way to slack strings. AGAIN - This will not work on the Lo-Pro models - only the 1/2" will work on those.
. FWIW - what the other guys are calling "big blocks" are usually only 3/8" thick! This is 5/8" and we also offer our 1/2" block for those who don't want the larger block and may want a little more space in the cavity.
