    Description

Vintage original 26.5 x 37 in. "country of origin" Mexican poster
from the classic 1960's Mexican musical horror/comedy fantasy,
Caperucita y Pulgarcito contra los monstruos
    (US:
Tom Thumb and Little Red Riding Hood
    ), released in 1962 and
    directed by Roberto Rodríguez
    .
    In this follow-up to
    Caperucita y sus tres amigos
    (
    Caperucita and Her Three Friends
), Caperucita, the Wolf, and the Ogre are captured by the Witch Queen, accused of treason by the Vampire. Caperucita, followed by a host of old and new characters, begins the adventure to rescue their friends.
The image features artwork by A.M. Chacho
and depicts a scene in a forest setting at the center as Caperucita Roja (
    María Gracia
) looks scared while Pulgarcito (
    Cesáreo Quezadas 'Pulgarcito'
) bravely takes aim at something off-camera with his slingshot. At the top are headshots of El Ogro (The Ogre) (
    José Elías Moreno
), El Lobo (the Wolf) (
    Manuel 'Loco' Valdés
    ), El Zorrillo (
    Santanón
), and La Reina Bruja (the Witch Queen (
    Ofelia Guilmáin
) as well as three other characters. Printed for the film's original 1962 Mexican theatrical release, this "country of origin" poster has been professionally linen-backed without any restoration. It is in very fine condition and looks great in person.
