Welcome to the auction of a absolutely guaranteed Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian Two-Panel (known in Italy as a "4 Fogli") Movie Poster ( measures 55" x 78" [140 x 198 cm]) BARBARELLA. Barbarella, the 1968 Roger Vadim directed French/Italian sexy science fiction fantasy adventure comedy thriller ("Who can save the universe?"; "Queen of the Galaxy"; "The space age adventuress whose sex-ploits are among the most bizarre ever seen."; "Who nearly dies of pleasure?"; "Who seduces an angel?"; "Who strips in space?"; "See Barbarella do her thing!"; "From the best seller 'Barbarella' by Jean Claude Forest published by 'Le Terrain Vague'"; "Screenplay by Terry Southern") stars Jane Fonda (in the title role as Barbarella), John Phillip Law, Marcel Marceau, David Hemmings, Ugo Tognazzi, Anita Pallenberg, and Milo O'Shea.----- NOTE that this is a "country of origin" poster for this partially Italian movie! CONDITION: Good. It had a vertical scuff mark in the left of the second "R" of the title, with a scratch mark running below it, and under the "A" next to it. There was a 9" uneven tear in the bottom center of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but unfortunately, it was roughly handled, and it acquired a bunch of notable defects. It has some slight water staining in the left of the bottom, extending up into the credits, and it has surface paper loss in her arm and also in the background to the right of her hair and in the left of the planet. There are also creases in the upper right of the image, both in the poster and the linen. I have done close-up photo's of these area's , and just of the poster's artwork. There are also creases down the left and right of the excess linen that can easily be trimmed off and some light creases scattered throughout the poster that are also in the linen. EBAY now requires all order checkout's be performed on Ebay only - so if your buying multiple posters or item's and they can be shipped together EBAY DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY COMBINE THEM in the checkout - I suggest just allowing me a day to adjust the shipping charges to reflect the combining shipping discounts - sadly Ebay's checkout doesn't caculate combined shipping discounts like my vendio account did just fine - so you must wait to pay until I have a chance to do this manually on your invoice before you pay if your ordering multiple posters.
