Description

Photos show everything. Not sure the age, definitely quite old. I am guessing 1940s or 1950s, but I do not know for sure the actual age. It is an incredibly detailed, incredibly beautiful brass lamp with the red and green lens, like the bow light on a boat. You can see in the last photo that it works. I put a light bulb (not included) in the socket and plugged it in. When I clicked the switch, the first click, nothing happened. The second click, the light came on, and on the third click it became a bit brighter. I believe that the first click is supposed to light up the inside, to illuminate the red and green lenses. The reason I say that is that it sounds like there is a loose light bulb rattling around inside. I did not take the light apart to test that part of it, as I was concerned that I may not be able to put it back together properly. I am quite sure though, that the first click of the switch would light up the red and green. I cannot swear to this, I cannot guarantee it, but I really believe it to be the case. This is an awesome nautical themed lamp, and you can see that you can adjust it to different positions, making it suitable for a desk lamp or a wall mount lamp. Not a whole lot more to add to the photos, the brass does show patina and maybe could stand to be polished. It is 7" tall, not including the bulb, and the bottom diameter is 4.25". It weighs approximately 1.5 lb.  Please use the zoom feature and ask any questions you may have.
