1967 COUGAR VACUUM HEADLIGHT COVER SYSTEM - COMPLETE - ORIGINAL PARTS

Description

This is a complete vacuum system that operates the headlight covers -- taken from an EARLY 1967 Cougar.  It has the left inside fender mounted solenoid valve and the vacuum tank with two ports.  These parts were all removed from the same 1967 Cougar that had been stored for over 30 years -- always stored inside -- all the parts are in very good condition, and, to the best of my knowledge, a completely working system.  I tested the actuators, and both hold vacuum perfectly.  Note that the bellows seals on the actuators are original and do not have any tears or breaks -- still nice and flexible.  All of the original ribbed tubes still have the color coded lines showing very well -- all of the lengths and ends on the tubes are good -- non have any cracks or splits.  I cleaned up the vacuum tank and brackets, and painted them correct Ford semi-gloss.  I did not paint the actuators because I thought the original condition would show better if left as is -- there is slight red overspray on both from when the Cardinal Red car was repainted in 1979.  The solenoid valve has the extra ground wire that was included to improve reliability.  Also included are the pins and lock clips for the actuators, and the screws for mounting the solenoid and the ground wire end.  There is also a package of new hardware for mounting the vacuum tank.  I cleaned the solenoid, tubes and actuators pretty well -- might need just a little more touch up if you are doing a special show car.  The blue tags are on golf tees stuck into the tubes only to identify the correct connections.  Send a note if you need more information or photos.  Finally, if you can find all of these parts elsewhere, the total cost is likely to be well over ,000 -- plus hundreds more for cores for the actuators and solenoid valve.  Again, all of these parts are original parts -- and all from the same car.
